Ms. Neu holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iowa College of Engineering, complemented by a minor in Spanish. She later earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Iowa College of Law. Prior to her term at Whitewood Law, Ms. Neu honed her legal skills in the demanding environment of a large law firm, focusing primarily on anticounterfeiting. She has extensive experience drafting and arguing motions in IP litigation cases in federal courts and has appeared in nearly 300 such cases in her career. Ms. Neu has experienced handling status conferences, preparing witnesses for depositions, taking and defending depositions, drafting pleadings and contested motions and managing complex fact and expert discovery, including expert reports. She works developing factual record for use in motion practice, depositions and for trial including analyzing produced documents for use in depositions, reports, and motion practice. This foundation uniquely positions her to effectively navigate the complexities of intellectual property disputes and enforcement strategies.
Ms. Neu’s dedication to the legal profession extends beyond her work in intellectual property. She actively participates in pro bono initiatives, providing legal support in Elder Law matters through organizations such as the Center for Disability and Elder Law and Lawyers for the Creative Arts.
